If you received a new License Plate on a vehicle for which you already have a City Sticker, please email your plate registraion to ezbuy@cityofchicago.org and provide your updated plate registration. An Antique Vehicle, or show vehicle, is an automobile that is 25 years or older and used exclusively for shows or exhibitions. To qualify for an Antique Vehicle (AV) emblem, the vehicle must have an Illinois antique motor vehicle (AV) license plate. However, antique vehicles used for everyday, non-exhibition purposes do not qualify for this discount and should display a Chicago City Vehicle Sticker, purchased at regular price. Vehicles with the Antique Vehicle emblem cannot park on any City streets without the risk of being ticketed for non-compliance with the Chicago Wheel Tax.
No-Fee Charitable (NFZ) stickers are for tax-exempt organizations with vehicles that hold 11 or more passengers and are used only for the purpose of transportation of passengers; not cargo, materials, or equipment.

A car's sticker price or MSRP is the manufacturer's suggested retail price. It's called car sticker price because it's required by federal law to be placed on the window of a vehicle for sale. The dealer doesn't have to stick to the MSRP when selling the car, but the MSRP must remain displayed. MSRP depends on the vehicle. For example, a model that includes optional features like heated seats or lane assist, or a vehicle that comes in a rare color combination, might have a higher sticker price on the car than the base version of that model in a common color.
When buying a new car, it's common practice to negotiate down from the car sticker price, or MSRP, but it's not always possible. You can expect to pay MSRP for a new car that's in high demand, or if you're shopping in a location without much competition. If you're purchasing a car released in the past few months, you aren't likely to negotiate a price reduction, especially if the new release was a highly anticipated model.
